CHANGE BACKGROUND COLOR:

Artistren.com is the first site of its kind in China: the first site designed as a community for artists, photographers, designers, models and the interested alike to gather and discuss and share their work and their lives. Artistren.com is a place for creatives to gather and for creativity to put down roots and grow.
China’s art and fashion world is an international one, and so are we. Our site is based in, and about, China, but we’re multi-lingual and so are our resources.
To get the most out of our resources -- including your own blog and image gallery, access to the forums, and the chance to see your profile and your work featured in our e-zine -- you’ve only to register. Don’t worry, it’s free!

Composite Card

First, lets get rid of the lingo: “comp card” is short for composite card. These cards are a type of self-promotion, an advertisement if you will, for fashion and glamour models, or any other type of model really. Since there’s no standard shape, layout, style or size for a comp card, you can really exercise your creativity in designing yours.  However, you don’t have total freedom of design; there are some basic elements your comp card needs to include and one or two conventions you may want to take into consideration.

Designing Your Portfolio

Along with comp cards and business cards, a well-designed portfolio is one of the essential trappings of professionalism for serious models. You want to impress people when you show it to them, not just with how great you look in your pictures but with how much time, effort and thought you’ve put into both designing the portfolio and selecting your pictures.
